Leia’s First Halloween (2010)

Leia celebrated her first Halloween! She did not just celebrate one day, instead the festivities lasted all weekend. The festivities and celebration wore Leia out but it was entertaining to see little princesses, firemen, mermaids, police officers, and all the other kids dressed up.

Saturday Leia spent the day at Mimi and Papa’s house hanging out with cousins Sara and Katie. They all played in the sand, swing set, and the fort before the afternoon nap. After their nap Mimi had bought a special Halloween treat for each of them to enjoy for snack. Leia made a BIG mess with the cake. Next up was the “candy apple”, pizza, and chicken (seems to be a theme of yummy treats but they did a lot of running around too – veggies and fruit will have to be introduced again this week).

Saturday evening was the Trunk or Treat at Gardendale’s Mt Vernon Church. We all had a blast! The kids got to ride on a carousel and horses, play games (Leia’s favorite was picking ducks out of the fountain but she tried to go head first in the water), and of course trunk or treat. Sweet Leia shared her treats with mommy and daddy. Thanks Leia!

On Sunday, the girls got dressed up again to go to a Halloween Harvest where they go to school. The girls had fun sliding down a big slide. Leia ended up sliding twice since after the first time she kept trying to walk over or lunge from our arms to get back to the slide. Since most of the other stuff there was geared for kids a little older than Leia we headed back home and let Leia play outside and walk around to sprinkle pixie dust around our neighborhood.

  1. Leia looks so cute for Halloween, and so grown up! I can’t wait to see her in Gatlinberg.
