Yeah, daddy had a work trip to south Florida so all his girls tagged along on the front end of Chris’s business trip to visit family.
The girls had to have pretty toes for a trip to Florida
Getting ready to go

The girls and Lisa arrived at the airport about 12:30 for a 4:00 flight with the craziness of the TVA lines being 3 hours long earlier that week. Of course, we got through them in 15 minutes so it was hurry up and wait. The girls did great amazing though and didn’t complain at all. They were content looking at planes waiting on ours to arrive, snacking on chickfila, walking up and down the terminal with Lisa (thankful Chris was able to sit with luggage), and were looking forward to loading the plane as soon as we could to get to Florida. The flight was good even though there was turbulence but the girls didn’t seem to notice. Ivy’s ears bothered her as we were descending but said they were all better after she laid her head on her pillow pet. Thankful for a good flight down to visit family for a few days.
Thursday evening we went straight to diner with Gigi, Uncle Johnny, and Uncle David. It was so nice catching up. The girls seemed to be worn out towards the end of dinner but on the drive to Gigi’s house they caught a second wind. They played in the playroom, Leia served tea, and Ivy played the piano for everyone. I love watching their imaginations at work. They got to play about 45 minutes before mommy said to bed to get energy for a fun Friday in Florida.
Friday Fun Day started waking up to a delicious smell of Gigi cooking breakfast. The girls were super excited to get in the pool so they did not eat that much but daddy took them to the pool while mommy worked on a document that had to be turned in that day (oops, forgot about that in the excitement to get out of town). Right as Lisa was finishing her work the girls were heading in because the pool man had come to clean the pool but the girls had worked up an appetite playing daddy in the pool and ate their breakfast Gigi cooked. We met uncle Johnny midday at the Holiday Everglade for an airboat ride. Must say, we have the coolest Gigi! She went on the airboat ride with us; I want to be like her when I am 90 J. Sweet Ivy fell asleep half way through the tour while Leia was all into it and got the flower necklace our tour guide made which was a highlight of the tour for precious Leia. Lisa and the girls swam that afternoon for a little while before aunt Terri, uncle Winnie, Ricky, Isla, and Kellan over for pizza and Friday night fun. The kids were amazing together! Leia had been looking forward to seeing Isla the whole time we were getting ready so she was really pumped for Friday evening. They all got along so well and had a blast swimming before dinner and the rain arrived. Aunt Terri brought the girls a frozen sticker book and makeup set, of course they could not wait to tear into the makeup. They looked beautiful with the glitter eye-shadow, pink checks, and sparkling lips to watch movies on their iPhones. What a precious memory they gave us.
Morning fun at Gigi’s

We have the coolest Gigi! Hope to be as youthful as she is when I am 90. Enjoyed our airboat ride with Gigi and uncle Johnny.

Evening fun at Gigi’s

Saturday morning Gigi was up early again and had breakfast ready when we woke up. The girls headed straight to the pool again that morning with Lisa after we cleaned up the table from breakfast. They were little mermaids and turned Lisa into one too in the pool to explore the underwater world together; have I mentioned how much I love playing imagination with them, they make everything twice as fun! Daddy came out and joined us after a little while for a family fun time in the pool. Midday we were able to go watch Kellan play baseball. He is such a cutie! It is competitive for that age group too and I thought he did great. Since it was their last game he received a trophy afterwards then the Huckestiens met us at Gigi’s house for the 4 kiddos to swim. The kids thought it was great that Chris and Ricky got in with them and everyone was doing cannon balls … not sure who had the biggest one. Dawn, Gigi, and Lisa sat in the porch and stayed dry, watching the six kids having fun and Gig crocheted bracelets per Leia’s request. Blessed our little ones have such fun, loving daddy’s. After a short rest, we headed to Dawn and Ricky’s to see their new house and enjoy a nice family dinner with them, Gigi, Taylor, Gus, aunt Terri, uncle Winnie, uncle Johnny, uncle David, Bill, and buddy. Ivy was so excited Bill brought Buddy up and she got to see Buddy. She was even more surprised because I had told her she might not get to see Buddy since Nora was in the hospital. It made her trip when she saw her favorite dog-dog, Buddy; she said seeing Buddy was one of her favorite parts of her trip. Dawn and Ricky are always great hosts and we had a blast hanging out with everyone that evening.
So much fun watching cousin Kellan play ball

Sweet times at Gigi’s

Wonderful family time at Ricky and Dawns. Thank you for having us all!

Sunday, Leia had special time with Gigi while Lisa fixed breakfast. When you get Leia one on one when she is in a talkative mood it is awesome. So sweet to watch her enjoy time with Gigi and have that precious memory. After breakfast the girls played inside since mommy told them they could not swim since we shouldn’t pack a wet swimsuit. Lisa gathered the stuff and Chris took his three girls to the airport on his way to play the big blue at Dural with Ricky, Brian, and uncle Winnie. Again, we arrived a little earlier than we needed but the girls entertained themselves and Lisa until it was time to fly to Atlanta. Ivy fell asleep not long after we got on I-20 and Leia watched movies. As soon as we got home they scurried off to play while Lisa started unpacking and washing clothes. Then Ivy’s friends Morgan asked them to come swim so they got to swim like they wanted only a little later in the day in Alabama instead of Florida. It was a GREAT trip! Thank you Gigi for letting us stay with you and being such an amazing host, we love you!

Of course the girls got to sleep in mommy’s room while daddy was gone 🙂
Leia claimed daddy’s spot and Ivy slept with big bear in the floor; sweet memories

It sounds like a wonderful and busy trip and so glad you all had such a terrific time together!! I know Gigi enjoyed having you there too!! Love, Aunt Joy
