Last year at Thanksgiving Uncle Johnny told us he would visit us this year. He made true on his promise while he was driving a friends car across country he stopped by for a couple nights. Thankful he arrived before 280 became standstill due to a wreck shutting down a portion of the road for a few house. The night he arrived we stayed in for the evening enjoying a yummy meal, listening to Johnny and Ivy play the guitar, walking around part the neighborhood, sipping wine while catching up and listening to the boys remanence about their travels.

Friday, we let Leia skip school so we could all have a fun family day. The morning started with uncle Johnny serving the girls tea and the girls enjoying some home time before heading to McWane for a couple hours. The girls had a blast exploring and playing. Uncle Johnny was a big kid. We came back to the house that afternoon for the girls to pick blueberries, play outside, and the boys took a siesta. After a short rest we went to railroad park for a little bit before heading to Texas De Brazil for dinner. To add excitement to the night one of the carvers ended up slicing Lisa’s finger so uncle Johnny got to cut Lisa’s meat instead of the girls. We stopped by Katie’s last soccer game on the way home and ended up getting ice-cream afterwards before coming home.

Saturday, everyone was up early for uncle Johnny to start his last leg of his journey home and the Comfort’s to go to WOD for water.

The girls got to play with hair chalk too. Never a good sign when you hear your eldest telling little sis momma is not going to be happy …. only thing mommy did was bust out laughing. She turned herself into rainbow dash
