Chris’s girls were so excited to celebrate his birthday!  We got to celebrate three times with him. Getting to spend time with each other and loved ones was the best gift of all! We are so thankful to have such a great daddy and wonderful husband in our life.

First celebration Friday before his birthday when Grandpa was in town for the weekend. We decorated the house while Chris was at work Friday then grandpa took us to Chuck’s Fish (Chris’s pick) for dinner. We headed back home and the girls opened daddy’s presents from Grandpa and Deedee while the ice cream cake softened  to make sure there was no need for an electric knife before we sang happy birthday and got to enjoy a yummy treat. After cake time we face-timed Deedee into the celebration. Thankful we got to spend a couple days with Grandpa and celebrate Chris’s special day with him.

Second, celebration was with Mimi, Mark, Stacy, Sara, and Katie. They all had plans Friday night when Grandpa was in town so we got to celebrate again Sunday. It’s a party weekend! It was a simple celebration with burgers at Mugshots then back to the house for ice-cream cake and brownies. It is the ordinaary things that we take for granted most the time that make it extraordinary. We are rich because we get to spend time with those we love.

We all enjoyed the cake but Ivy made sure we saved a piece of cake for Deedee the next time she comes to visit.

Chris’s final birthday celebration was on his real birthday. A small family affair. Chris had to work the day of his birthday so he went by Starbucks for his birthday coffee then into the office early but his girls face timed him at 5:30 to wish him a happy birthday. Lisa and Ivy met him for lunch too where he was treated to a free baklava treat that Ivy ate for him ;). At work he was surprised with yeti drink cup, golf glove, and cigars. After work his girls met him in the driveway to treat him to dinner at a local Japanese steak house. Of course, the girls told them it was his birthday; they enjoyed the extra attention more than he did. Then he finally got to open up his presents or watch Ivy open them while Leia cleaned up the paper that evening and sit down to relax for the evening.
