We took a weekend trip to Callaway Gardens to see the award winning Christmas lights. We left out early Saturday to go hear Mrs Claus read, “T’was was the Night Before Christmas”. The girls got their nose painted like Rudolph before listening to the story then after the story time everyone got to enjoy a cupcake and to make reindeer food to put out on Christmas Eve for Santa’s reindeers. Uncle Mark and Lisa ran to grab lunch for everyone while the others started to explore the Christmas village. We had a nice picnic then the girls got to go back to explore the village a little more before we all enjoyed swinging by the beach while the girls played in the sand and on the playground. Santa arrived that afternoon for pictures before we went to drive thru the grounds with the thousands of Christmas lights. The lights were beautiful! The girls thought they were big standing up looking out the moon roof. We headed back to check in and rest up for breakfast with the holiday characters the next morning. At breakfast there was the abdominal snowman, Christmas frog, Jingles the dog, Frosty the snowman, and Rudolph. After breakfast we walked thru the butterfly exhibit where there was thousands of butterflies. We did remind the girls they could not to catch them in the greenhouse. After a full 24 hours of fun we headed back home to get ready for a busy week ahead.
We arrived

The elevator was a little crowded with the luggage and 10 of us but provided good laugh

Rest, relax, play, and Christmas village fun

Viewing the lights thru the sunroof

One of my favorite … maybe next year Chris will do lots of lights outside
Breakfast with the holiday characters. Leia was disappointed there was not a gingerbread man but Katie told her he might had been eaten so they were baking another one

Two of my favorite presents under the tree

Before we went home we took the girls to the butterfly exhibit

Sweet Ivy had to rest up on her way home after all the fun

Leia was excited when we got home to start her sewing lessons. We broke a needle within 5 minutes but she did great staying on the lines and is ready to sew a pillow and pillow case since that is what Deedee told her we should do first.

Glad you had such a great time and have a wonderful holiday season. Love, Aunt Joy
