Mimi’s birthday celebration was stretched out over the weekend. We started on Saturday evening with a family birthday celebration at Lisa and Chris’s house. The girls enjoyed helping Mimi open her presents, the food was yummy, and celebration full of love and laughter. Everyone stayed to watch the first half of the Alabama vs LSU game. Alabama gave Mimi a little birthday gift too by beating LSU. Sunday, cousins Stephanie and Kristi, Stacy, and Lisa all headed to Mimi’s for a little girl time, celebration that evening. We enjoyed lingering over appetizers and kabobs while reminiscing and talking about life, great time catching up. We toasted Mimi and the strong, kind, generous woman she is and has taught us to be while also wishing blessings on her this coming year. Kristi and Stephanie brought Mimi beautiful flowers and a gift too. Great evening of fellowship together. Both Lisa and Stacy spent the night to wake up with Mimi on her birthday. Stacy had to go to work but Lisa was able to spend the day with Mimi. We lounged around that morning enjoying the fire, watching the Today show (rarity for Lisa), then went on a 7 mile walk, to get a pedicure, and back to Mimi’s for a late lunch where two of mom’s lifelong friends, Lynn and Deborah joined us. Not long after lunch it was time for Lisa to go get the girls so Mimi visited with friends and then went on her birthday date that evening with Al to dinner and a movie. It was a special time celebrating the life of a special woman. Best part was the time we got to spend together. We hope you enjoyed your birthday Mimi.
