We had a week planned with something almost every night. Monday was a little rougher than expected so skipped going to Boo at the Zoo to stay in and try to rest up for the rest of the busy week but told the girls we would do something fun to make it up to them.
Tuesday, Lisa took the girls to ChuckeCheese since we’d promised them we would do something fun to make up for it. They racked up some tickets: 50 for dressing up, 50 for coloring a picture, 50 for dancing with Chucky, plus the tickets from the games they played. Leia is close to saving up her 5,000 tickets for her top shelf prize she wants, proud of her for working towards one of her goals.

Wednesday night was a late night since we went to the Fall Mash at church. Girls had a great time playing, dancing, doing crafts, and fellowshipping with our friends.

Thursday was Leia’s first field trip with big girl school. Lisa got to go with her. It was fun watching the kids interact and enjoy time together outside of school. After school Leia helped make cupcakes for her Halloween party. She now reads the ingredients, gathers them, measures them herself, and mixes the batter; can’t believe she is big enough to do all that on her own.

Thursday also is aunt Kelly’s birthday. The girls wanted to celebrate with aunt Kelly but since we did not want to drive 3 hours we settled on getting cupcakes and they got to blow out candles. We tried FaceTiming while we were celebrating but aunt Kelly was driving but we were able to talk that evening and wish her a happy birthday

Friday, was Leia’s class Halloween party. Lisa and one other room mom helped with the party. The kids got to color, choose a tootsie roll pop ghosts or spider, read a story, and enjoy treats (nutter-butter host, pumpkin clementine, and pumpkin cupcakes); we had more planned but ran out of time. Little sister was able to enjoy the festivities too. After school the girls got to do a couple of the crafts we ran out of time before we went to have a family spend the night party at Mimi’s.

Halloween morning we got to have breakfast with Nana at Mimi’s then head to Mimi’s church for a fall festival. It was so much fun and we got to run into old friends we’ve not saw in a long time, great catching up. Afterwards Mimi treated us to lunch before we headed back to Mimi’s for craft time with Lisa. During craft time Mimi’s neighbors came to see if we wanted to go in a hay ride. Mr David took them around the neighborhood several times then we invited Abbey to come join us for craft time. Sara and Katie left to go to their church’s Light the Night but we decided to go trick-a-treating at Mimi’s with Abbey and Jenna. It was fun riding on the hay ride. Mimi started off with us but heading back to hand out candy at her house. We tried beating the rain but got caught in it. Our little princesses jumped in the cab of truck with Mr David leaving mommy, Mrs Ashley, and Abbey in the rain. Thankfully, Mimi had warm soup waiting on us when we got back to her house where she and Chris were waiting on us.
