Mimi took us on our annual family beach trip again this year. Thankful for the great time we have together and the memories we make there. The Comfort group headed down a couple days before the Rhoads since they were in school then we headed back and gave them a couple days of one on one with Mimi too. I think the four little munchkins like being there at the same time more so next year we will try to go after school is over since most of the muchkins will be in school. Leia and Ivy neither one were crazy about the sand, the beach. Leia played at the shore line in the waves once or twice for a few minutes but other than that did not want anything to do with sand she would climb up on the beach chair, clean off her feet, and wait to get to go to the pool, water-slide, lazy river, or hot tub. Ivy played on the beach a little with Sara and Katie but always would head to the hot tub, pool, or lazy river if given the opportunity. Ivy went down the slide once with mommy but after that would not have anything to do with it but was happy to watch sissy, Sara, and Katie slide. Of course, the adults could not let the kids have all the fun and got in on the sliding too. Ivy was a little timid in the water at first but Chris got her more comfortable and we plan on starting swim lessons soon. When we planned the trip we did not realize we would be at the beach on Mother’s Day but enjoyed waking up and the boys spoiling us. Mark cooked breakfast before the mommies headed out to enjoy the beach for a little bit then Chris and Mark hung out with the girlies at the pool. Lisa went to the pool to play with the girls too then Chris headed up to cook lunch before we left to head home while Mimi had some fun the the Rhoads’ a couple days.
