Happy New Years …. Welcome 2015

I liked my sister’s prayer over the new year so thought I would share it on my blog as well:

I pray this year,
We have more quality time, unplugged with family and friends
God directs each of us in His plans for our lives and direction
That I would love my family and friends better
For my girls to make Godly lifelong friends and know who they are in Christ
For loving communication skills

We had Mimi, Sara, Katie, aunt Stacy, and uncle Mark over to celebrate the New Year on New Year’s Eve

Watching our fireworks show the boys put on for us to send off the old year and welcome the new year; Katie preferred watching from inside

New Years day the girls all went out to Mimi’s for our traditional black eye peas and something green while the boys enjoyed a man day (Chris played golf; Mark watched football). Love spending a little girl time with girlies

The girls have been asking for dates with mommy and daddy so on January 2nd we each took them on a mommy-daughter and father-daughter date for a little one on one time. This will have to be a monthly occurrence
Leia chose for her Mommy-daughter date to go to Chucky Cheese to play then pick up lunch and take it home to watch a movie
Daddy took Ivy ton their date to lunch at Waffle House, ride the carousel, and ice cream for dessert

The first week in 2015 flew by … hoping the rest of it does not go that fast and we get to enjoy more time with our friends and family
