Diego, Kelly, Adrian, and Alicia are heading to Spain for Christmas so this past weekend we went to celebrate Christmas with them and have a little fun family time. Everyone was there Friday when we arrived so the kids immediately started playing. On the way Ivy told us, she “just wanted to see Alicia then go home”; fast forward to Sunday when we were leaving she said she didn’t want to leave Alicia – Ivy’s trip was all about seeing her Alicia. They do play great together. Back to Friday evening, every one enjoyed Deedee’s yummy casserole for dinner and play time until the littles started showing signs it was time for bed. Adrian and Alicia headed home and our girlies got a bath in Deedee’s tub then headed to bed. Saturday, the girls both slept in :). It was nice for mommy and daddy to get to sleep in too. The girls had fun playing in the basement and painting as they patiently waited for their cousins to get there mid morning. Everyone enjoyed lunch before it was present time.  Of course all 4 littles opened their gifts and started playing right away. Love seeing the excitement of new toys and surprises, even better they all were willing to share their toys. We spent the rest of the day/evening there just playing (a perfect time in our girls eyes, they love low key days where they do not have to do anything other than play). Grandpa and Deedee had planned on going to the park but the little sisters had to take a nap (Ivy’s was a little long) so we did not make it to the park as planned since dinner had to be cooked too. Chris cooked the lobster, Gene did the steak, Deedee made the sides and desserts, and Kelly put the salad together – it all was delicious. That evening Adrian and Alicia both stayed the night too so the kids got to snuggle up before bedtime and had a little more play time Sunday morning before we had to head home. It was a great weekend!
