Leia’s birthday is still a few weeks away but since we learned our lesson on not having it during the SEC Championship game (which always falls the weekend after her birthday) and Thanksgiving being the weekend before her birthday we went ahead and had her party early this year. She insisted on having a “home party” and wanted Little Ponies (her newest obsession). We decided on a “My Little Pony” tea party. She got to invite 14 of her closest friends and family. Almost everyone showed up except a couple who were having car trouble. All the prep and work throwing it is worth it when she comes to give a big hug and declare this was the best birthday every as her guests are leaving. Blessed to have friends and family to share our life with … friendship really is magic.
Pinkie Pie’s Sweet Treats set and ready for little pony friends to arrive

The kids did great working on their tea cup

Everyone had fun turning their nails into a rainbow at Rainbow Dash’s paint station and at Rarity’s tattoo Palor

We are really good at planning the party during football games but we had it on this time

Everyone enjoying Flutter Shy and Apple Jack snacks

Of course, Pinkie Pie were saved for last

The little ponies practice their magic skills with Twilight Sparkle to keep the balloons from hitting the hot lava

A piñata always makes for party fun

Then they worked together to find the elements in a scavenger hunt

Leia was so excited to open her gifts and thankful for everyone coming to celebrate with her

So glad her party went well! Darrell told me how nice it was too! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Love, Aunt Joy
