“Be still and know I am God” Psalms 46:10 This verse has played over and over in my head this year thus far. It reminds me to slow down and enjoy life, everything is under control. As we start the new year my hope is that I focus on what is important and not worry about the small things.
Anotheritem in January seems to be reflection over the last year(s). It is amazing how a picture can bring back details from a memory or give us the ability to share our memory with others; always heard, a picture is with a thousand words. We try to capture these little moments throughout life in still pictures or video clips, often times it is only the ‘out of the normal’ days when the cameras are brought out . It is the little things throughout the day or week that makes our life so blessed and worth living, the ‘ordinary’ days. Conscience efforts are made in our family to get a few shots on our ‘ordinary’ days, even though some people make fun of the shear number of pictures taken. Despite the effort more of teh special moments are not caught through the lens of a camera because it is happening in real time while we are living life. Our girls are growing so fast, as children and amaze me daily at their thoughtfulness (sometimes lack of), inquisitiveness, observations, and openness. It is pure joy to experience life again through a child’s eyes. A child can teach or remind us to enjoy the simple things in life if we listen and play with them in their world. I pray our girls always find joy in their life, feel love around them, and never forget the most important things in life aren’t things but relationships. I’m thankful for our family, our life together, and this season in life; blessed to be on this journey. Here are a few of the ordinary moments from this month.
Leia helped Ivy, “be safe” before she started to drive. Love how they look out for each other!

Of course Ivy being strong willed did not like being told she needed to “be safe” and hoped into her own car to drive

When they got into the jeep together again the camera/phone was thrown to the ground as Ivy’s head got knocked from running into the canopy frame, it scared mommy! but a few kisses and hus Ivy was off to play again
Making memories at home with Sara and Katie. Leia and Katie are more quite and reserved compared to Sara and Ivy. Leia and Katie will sit for hours entertaining themselves, although Leia loves to put on shows and have our undivided attention quite a bit too. Ivy tries to make sure she is heard over everyone and always holds her own – I have to watch her cause she will run over Leia and Katie, Sara holds her own to Ivy.

Leia likes to hide things! Well sometimes she hides things too well and it takes a while to find them. She was so excited to find her Minnie – we searched and searched and searched but we found it after three days of searching the house
MLK day the girls and I hung out with Mimi daddy was going to go golfing and spend half the day with us but the weather was not the best and work called so we had fun at Mimi’s. Sara and Katie ended up coming over too. It’s fun to go on walks, explore, and play there since it is set so far from the rode they get a little more freedom than at our house.

Our little artist enjoy painting!

Fun on the trampoline

These three are growing so fasts; Ivy had to nap while they were sharing the ipad

Excited to get a surprise, new panties

These girls love a carasoul ride. In reality daddy rode it with them, he had stepped away a moment and got back before it started so we ran to a store than stood above watching and waving (not that they girls saw us waving)

Leia dancing like Princess Aurora, putting on a show. Ivy was asleep or she would had been dancing along side big sister
Leia told daddy he needed to be prince Phillip since she was Aurora in her show, special memories dancing with daddy 🙂
Movie night at our house with Leia’s favorite friend, our neighbor Stella. The girls play great together and always enjoy getting together. Daddy was out of town so mommy let them plan our dinner menu; I should had known it would be Leia’s favorite, breakfast for supper, pancakes and bacon.

Girls are enjoying gymnastics. Ivy loves it and is getting to be a little dare devil in it too!
