The Comfort clan celebrated a couple days for USA’s 237th birthday! Wednesday evening we headed to our church for fun, games, water slides, bouncy house, and fireworks. The girls had a great time and Leia declared she liked fireworks. Ivy was not a fan of the noise but her curiosity got the best of her as she was burying her head in mommy’s neck and she peaked a look. After a look she seemed to want to see the lights so we started telling her boom boom, light then she appeared to enjoy the show. Everyone slept in a little on the 4th from the late night then headed to Mimi’s as soon as we got up to celebrate a little more. It was raining on and off all day but between the showers the kids got to swim and play, we enjoyed some \u00a0barbecue with all the trimmings, Chris and Mark set up Mimi a new TV since her’s died then we all headed to Mimi and Papa’s office for the firework show as we have several years since they had opened up their company. The office is completely empty now so we took chairs, snacks and drinks to camp out in Papa’s office one last time on the fourth for ‘Thunder on the Mountain’. The girls all got to pick a snack out of the vending machine (a treat they got to do every time they went to Mimi and Papa’s office). They ate the snacks, ran around the office, and stood at the window waiting on the show. They were mesmerized for a little while at the window watching the show then lap-hopped since it was way past everyone’s bed time but it was a sweet time celebrating together. The show was fantastic and a great way to end our 4th of July \u00a0celebration! Friday, after two late\u00a0nights the girls were exhausted though. Luckily, Friday it was rainy out and the whole family was at home so we had a pajama day\/game night and enjoyed just being home together.<\/p>\n
