Summer time is in full force with all the heat and humidity that comes along with it. What is the best way to beat the heat? Enjoying a fun filled water day. Our plan was to go to the splash pad then spend the afternoon in Mimi\u2019s pool with Sara, Katie, Aunt Stacy, and Mimi. However, a conclusion has been made that our girls are not big fans of large crowds! Everything was going as planned when we got there – the girls enjoyed their donut and started playing while they excitedly waited for them to turn on the water (there was only a handful of other people there). We had not banked a summer daycare dropping off a van full of kids. Our girls had fun a few minutes before everyone was unleashed to play in from the daycare. Once half the kids got over, Ivy froze then threw her hands up screaming demanding mommy get her. By the time the other half arrived, Leia was ready to get out but did not want to show it. She played with Sara and Katie but when she lost sight of them or got out of arms reach she panicked. After a rather short time playing Sara and Katie decided they would go back to the less crowded park next to the splash pad; of course, both Leia and Ivy followed as fast as their legs would take them. We spent most the reminder of the time hanging out at the park then decided to head out sooner than originally planned since it was a little hot with limited shade at the park. However, we got a little shopping excursion in before lunch, haircuts, and rest time. Thank you Mimi for the girls new cover ups and haircuts! The girls did enjoy our afternoon plans, swimming in Mimi\u2019s pool – a favorite summer time event. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
