It has taken me a little while to get to this post. I have been busy with our new daughter and enjoying time with her so give me [Chris] a little slack! I have also been trying to post pictures to our main web page and Facebook. Now I have finally had time to update our blog. <\/p>\n
It should have been first since this is where all of the updates, I am sure, will be; but I setup the email notification and pictures to be easily published on our main web page and had to do some work for them to show up here (and be updated as we add new pictures; yes that means that pictures will be added to this post as they are added elsewhere so check back for them each day!)<\/p>\n
It all started with an early morning arrival at the hospital on Wednesday December 2, 2009. We arrived at 6:30am and Lisa was resting in the room by 7:15am with help to kick start labor. It was a waiting game for awhile until Lisa’s body was ready to begin pushing our daughter. Around 7:00pm she started. Leia made very slow progress even with all of Lisa’s work Leia was stuck.<\/p>\n
After three hours of trying the doctor decided that Leia was just not going to make in the world on her own and we needed to provide a little help. So Lisa, her sister Stacy, and I got to dress up in medical attire and join the team of doctors and nurses to perform a C-Section and bring Leia here for everyone to see.<\/p>\n
Leia was born at 10:32pm. She weighed 7lbs 15ozs and 21 and quarter inches long. Leia and Mom came through with flying colors and enjoying time together relaxing and being held while we wait to go home on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
We have had quite a few visitors (as you can see from the pictures) and we greatly appreciate everyone’s email and comments. Please feel free to use the “Comment” link at the top of this post to add a new one!<\/p>\n
Lisa, Leia, and I again want to send love to everyone and Leia looks forward to meeting everyone!<\/p>\n
