Daddy had to travel a few days in February so the nights before mommy’s none work days the girls got to have a slumber party in mommy and daddy’s room. Treasuring these moments; they are growing so fast.

Daddy started working an AWS schedule at work so every other Friday he is off. Made a special date day with little Ivy, mommy, and daddy; we sure missed Leia while she was at school.

The girls have wanted to sleep in the den for weeks so one weekend mommy and daddy went to bed early and gave them the den. They may not have slept as well as they thought they would since the next day there were two sleepy girls but they got to do what they wanted to do.
\n\"IMG_4437_02-10-2016\"<\/a> \"IMG_4438_02-10-2016\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Mommy normally goes to gym on Saturday mornings but before sometimes if the girls wake before she leaves there are fun activities. Mommy did make sure daddy was awake for\u00a0painting just in case there was a big mess

Sweet Leia got to go to the new park we took Ivy on a date too the day after our date so she would not miss out on the fun there
\n\"IMG_4443_02-10-2016\"<\/a> \"IMG_4445_02-10-2016\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Daddy had to go to Austin for a week so the girls entertained themselves that week. On super bowl Sunday we did not watch one play of the game. We went hiking at a local state park. It was fun! Will have to do it again soon.

\nWe also played at a park Sunday

\nMonday, we just was a school\/work day but enjoyed sweet time with the girls that evening after a long day.
\nTuesday, Mimi took the girls to the mall to go to build-a-bear as part of their Valentines and then they got to ride the carousal.

\nWednesday, we enjoyed celebrating a sweet friend’s birthday at our house

\nThursday, Leia had her valentine celebration at school. She was excited to get home to show us her valentines she got, then we\u00a0did\u00a0homework and got in bed early\u00a0after the late night. Chris also got home that evening but the girls did not get to see him since they were in bed so they were disappointed the next day when they did not get to see daddy.
\nFriday, Ivy had her class valentine party. She helped put the valentines together that morning. After the party she was adamant that she was going home with mommy. We went home for lunch then ended up at the park until we got Leia from school.

\nDaddy had surprised us and got home early Friday for a family fun Friday night

While Valentine is one day set aside to celebrate love, we are blessed to \u00a0celebrate all year round with the love of family. We did have special heart items throughout the day but the the real mean treasure in the day is knowing that we get to spend time together and love each other everyday of the year.

Monday, February 15th was a weather day at school. All 4 monkeys wanted to spend the night with Mimi so they had a spend the night party. They asked Mimi if stye could do a taste test so she created one for them. They had lots of fun hanging out at Mimi’s and playing that morning. Lisa got to meet them for lunch since she only worked a half day then they went to the movies that afternoon. It was a fun day off of school, can we have another day soon.

Ivy waiting for sister to get home from the bus. Leia does not ride it often but thankful for sweet neighbors that let us play while we wait when she decides she wants to ride it.

Even rides in the car are fun with our little monkeys.

\nAnd they always keep us guessing on what they are going to do. We were swimming through the air then needed our goggles to drive the go-cart at Mimi’s house so the bugs didn’t get in their eyes since they were as fast as lightening.

How I wish we could slow time down. When they were little I never thought I would forget the day they got a first tooth or stood up the first time but I did so I am thankful for recording those first and times in our life. I always want to remember just how incredible\u00a0their imaginations are; I hope they never lose their big\u00a0imaginations. I treasure\u00a0moments when we witness\u00a0our girls simply use the incredible imaginations that God gave them are treasured moments. We are so blessed to get to share in the life of these two little princesses! While they grow daily and it is a parents job to teaching them, it amazes me at the things they teach\/remind us that we forget as we grow up. These days, we try to remember to \u00a0leave the mess in the floor and enjoy this time with the girls, we can clean when they are grown but today is the time to spend with our princesses and let them teach us to play.

How I love these two! They always make me smile. When I went up to check on them they while they were watching a movie they’d both changed into different night night clothes but they were happy

Leia’s spring pictures were in February. Of course the day of her picture the weather turned cold after it had\u00a0been warm for a couple\u00a0weeks. Spring is suppose to be bright and cheery so she picked out a light, sheer pink shirt. She did not want a picture until I told her we could do a selfie then she was all about it. She has the biggest heart that is so sweet, kind, loving; blessed to have our big\u00a0sister in the family, love her big!

Leia and Ivy were so excited Sara and Katie went to Awana’s with them on friends night! They all really seemed to have a great time!!

Leia had a grandparents day at her school Friday, February 26. She was so excited that Mimi and Grandpa both got to go with her. She talked about it all week.She read them each a story about a grandma\/grandpa and gave them a handprint.\u00a0It is a special time for her to spend with them both. Thank you both for taking time to go with sweet Leia on her special grandparents day at school!

Of course, grandpa did not just come in for the couple hours at school he spent a couple nights with us. We were suppose to be home at 4:30 but it was closer to 5:30 with the traffic from a wreck so it was a non-stop evening to get everything done but we were thankful we were not in it. Grnadpa started playing with the kids while supper was prepared (Lisa did manage to snap a picture)

\nThankful he read and helped Leia with homework after dinner while Chris and Lisa cleaned up and packed lunches for Friday. Plus, Leia was happy to do her homework with him, some nights it is like pulling teeth to get it done.

\nEven though Grandpa had some in town specially for Leia’s grandparents day at school, Ivy had special one on one time with grandpa too while Leia was at school and Lisa went to the gym Friday morning. She did not stop the whole day. At dinner she looked like she was going to fall asleep but managed to still be going when it was bed time that evening. She is our energizer bunny, full of life, always there to make us smile and give a hug; blessed to have our little sister in the family, love her big!

We had a request for a home-day Saturday so that is what we did. Girls played, built, constructed, danced, veggied out, and simply got to do whatever they wanted at the house. An added bonus that afternoon Sara and Katie came over to play on their way to a birthday party for a couple hours. It was a great relaxing Saturday with nothing on the calendar\u00a0and lots of family time. \ud83d\ude42

\nLove watching and joining in on the fun of dance parties! Hope the girls remember the fun dance parties when\u00a0they grow up. It is a happy family time!

Sweet Ivy is\u00a0not a fan of being\u00a0alone so when mommy cooks she climbs up on the counter. Reminds me of her mommy as a child, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Love having Ivy nearby; she is a great helper and has a very sweet nature.

Ivy loves big sister! She just likes to be close to someone she loves. The girls were ready for church one morning so while mommy got ready they snuggled on the bed. Leia is a great big sister, always looking out and helping take care of little sister.
