<\/p>\nChris had mentioned wanting to take the girls back to the beach this year before it got too cold. When Pam mentioned wanting to go for the shrimp festival we decided to make it a group trip. Lisa had been curious about the shrimp festival since childhood when her Mama use to go ever year; come on a festival with lots of seafood who wouldn’t enjoy that?!? Friday, we headed down just after breakfast. In true travel fashion\u00a0Lisa did not want to stop on the way down to eat – why waste calories on non-seafood when we are going to the coast? – except\u00a0grumpy Chris appears when he gets hungry and is traveling. As we neared the beach everyone was hungry so we stopped by a local place we went to last time for yummy seafood to get happy Chris back before checking into the condo. After we unpacked the girls were itching to go to the beach so Lisa took them while Chris decompressed\u00a0from the drive in the condo. After a few hours the girls were ready to head back inside to meet Tiffany and Shaina when they arrived. They had not gotten seafood yet and were hungry so we headed out to dinner. Three places later we found a place that did not have a 1.5+ hour wait; really should had made reservations. The girls were tired and went straight to bed when they got back to the condo while the moms went to get breakfast stuff at the store. Ivy took a little adjustment time to sleep in the condo after waking up 6 or 7 times. Saturday, everyone relaxed in the morning and we got donuts before heading out to the beach. Leia was stuck to Tiffany. They played mermaids, seahorse mermaid, built sand castles, played in the ocean, swam in the pool, created art work, watched for mermaids, and more. Ivy would go in and out of playing but was content doing her own thing most the time. Blessed sweet Tiffany played so much with Leia. When Ivy was tired of the sand she climbed up in the chair to escape it before demanding to go up in the room with daddy to nap. We all headed in early in the afternoon for naps and to get ready to go to the shrimp festival. Sweet Ivy ended up sleeping over 3 hours before we finally woke her up. The shrimp festival was not a huge hit with our girls. It reminded me of the Alabaster festival but most\u00a0of the kid activities were closed and the girls were asking to go back to the condo so we did not stay long. When we got back to the condo we figured out Ivy had a little fever which may had played a role in wanting to go back to the condo. We ended up snuggling with a short movie, sharing popcorn we got at the festival, then put the girls down early and prayed she would wake fever free. Sunday, we were blessed and there was no fever. After breakfast we headed to the beach to play to enjoy it before we had to go home. The girls ran the show! We stayed on the beach until they were ready to go to the pool then daddy took Ivy up to rest while mommy stayed with Leia and the Trummer girls. Mommy got us packed up while daddy had to get on a conference call for work then we headed\u00a0back home. We love vacation and enjoy our time away but there is really no place like home.<\/p>\n

Grabbed the girls rings on the way down to play … as mommy began unfolding them and starting to blow them up we discovered it\u00a0is a unicorn … mommy mistake but the girls LOVED them! Girls time playing and enjoying the ocean while daddy relaxed in the condo after our drive. Not many pics since mommy was busy playing in the sand and ocean with our sweet girls. Leia had NO FEAR of the water either Our little mermaids That evening at dinners our girls were exhausted from the travel and afternoon playtime but so excited to see Tiffany and Shiana Saturday and Sunday flew by … the girls had fun playing mermaid, seahorse, using their imagination with Tiffany. We lived in the moment and did not get many pictures but have great memories.
