The girlies joined the girl scouts this year and the service unit was this weekend. Unfortunately, we thought it was brownies and above since email for our little Daisy were not being delivered so Ivy missed the service unit but Leia went and Lisa got to chaperone. It was a good time with very little sleep for all. Friday evening we arrived to sit up our beds then joined all the other girls there for a campfire and songs before going to make a s’more and heading back to our rooms for the night. We attempted to have lights off at 10:30 but most of the girls had different plans and we got up and down every hour with girlies talking loudly, laughing, or kicking the wall. We were all up at 6 Saturday so decided to go ahead and get dressed so we could clean our rooms and pack up before breakfast since we were only spending one night. Saturday was packed with fun! We had breakfast, went to a flag raising ceremony, learned outdoor skills, hit the target in archery, canoed, and worked on fling flyer badges with another 3rd grade troop. Fun day but tiring. Thankful for Mimi and Stacy that cooked at the house for the Bama game and getting to hangout with them for a little bit before getting into a clean shower, relaxing back muscles on a heating pad, and early bedtime in a comfortable bed.
On the way to camp Lisa and Leia enjoyed a nice dinner and little shopping.
Mimi took Ivy shopping with her cousins on a girls night so daddy could do school work
The girls enjoyed making s’mores
